Specifying the Device Assignment on the USB Port
To prevent manipulations by switching the USB devices on the UTN
server, you can permanently assign USB devices to the USB ports.
Proceed as follows:
1. Start the myUTN Control Center.
2. Select
SECURITY – USB port access
.
3. Select the entry
Device assignment
from the
Method
list of the
relevant USB port.
4. Click
Reallocate device
.
The
USB device
box shows the vendor and product ID of the
USB device.
5. Click
Save
to confirm.
The settings are saved. Only the assigned USB device can be
operated on the USB port.
If the USB port is to create an assignment with a newly connected
USB device, click 'Reallocate device' again and save your settings.
Disabling the USB Port Access Control
You can disable the access control to the USB ports as well as the
connected USB devices.
Proceed as follows:
1. Start the myUTN Control Center.
2. Select
SECURITY – USB port access
.
3. Select the entry
---
from the
Method
list of the relevant USB
port.
4. Click
Save
to confirm.
The USB port access control will be disabled.
The connected USB devices can be operated.
