4) Turn on the boat’s AC or DC circuit breaker that supplies power to the sea water pump.
5) Repeatedly press the MENU button on the Display to scroll through screens. Check for correct
indication of:
Gyro Angle – near zero if gyro vertical
Four Bearing Temperatures – near ambient temp
Motor Temp – near ambient temp
Drive Temp – near ambient temp
No alarms or warnings
6) Repeatedly press MENU button to scroll to speed indication screen as
shown. There should be no alarms or warnings displayed below speed.
7) On the display, repeatedly press the MENU button until at the SPEED
COMMAND screen. Press the DOWN button twice to change to 1000
rpm.
8) Press RUN on keypad. Faint clicking from gyro can be heard up to 250 rpm.
9) The sea water pump should have started when the RUN button on the
keypad was depressed. Confirm pump operation and flow rate, if
practical. Required flow is 2 GPM (8 LPM) or greater.
10) Repeatedly press the MENU button to scroll through screens. Check for
correct indication of:
Motor Speed – 1.0 KRPM
No alarms or warnings
