4. MOTOR DRIVE JUNCTION BOX POWER CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
a. 230 VAC (nominal), 1 Phase, 50/60 Hz, 20 Amps. 3 x 10AWG (3 x 5mm
2
CSA) customer
supplied.
i. Connect 230 VAC wires in CABLE 2 to the “Line” side of the double ‐ pole Circuit
Breaker.
1. Use two female “Quick Connect” crimp terminals provided.

ii. Connect third wire in CABLE 2 as safety ground to enclosure chassis. Use the ring
terminal provided.

iii. Tighten cable gland nut to compress strain relief onto cable. If cable is not tight,
apply silicone to seal penetration into enclosure to protect internal components from
corrosion. See Figure 5.
b. Electromagnetic compatibility grounding by the external ground stud. Connect Cable 9,
4AWG Ground Cable (Seakeeper P/N: 20094), to Motor Drive JB from Gyro rear brace
(factory installed at rear brace).
