Adding additional stages
If an existing system is extended by one or several stages, the additional stages may be added in the
stage database.
For this purpose, the stage type of the additionally occupied switching outputs must be set to “AUTO”
(SETUP/100/OUt or SETUP/403).
If the stage recognition is switched off (SETUP/308 = NO), the stage sizes for these stages must also
be entered manually (SETUP/402).
Automatic distribution of stage switching operations
The CX plus automatically distributes the switching operations to all connected stages of the same
size. This is realised either via the switching cycle counters of the individual stages (default setting) or
via the operating hours of the individual stages.
D
ISTRIBUTION OF THE SWITCHING OPERATIONS VIA THE SWITCHING
CYCLES
If several stages of the same size are connected and the option “Distribute the switching operations
via the operating hours of the individual stages” is deactivated (SETUP/315 = NO), the controller
automatically distributes the switching cycles for these stages based on the switching cycle counters,
so that each of these stages has the same amount of switching operations (+/- 1).
Example:
Stages 5, 6 and 7 have the same stage size.
If the stages 5 and 6 have 13 switching cycles and the stage 7 only 12 switching cycles, the controller
will switch on stage 7 first for the next switch-on in order to distribute the switching cycles evenly.
D
ISTRIBUTION OF THE SWITCHING OPERATIONS VIA THE OPERATING
HOURS
If several stages of the same size are connected and the option “Distribute the switching operations
via the operating hours of the individual stages” is activated (SETUP/315 = YES), the controller
automatically distributes the switching operations for these stages based on the operating hour
counters of the individual stages, so that the operating hours for these stages are distributed evenly.
Example:
Stages 5, 6 and 7 have the same stage size.
If the stage 5 was in operation for 2 h, stage 6 for 1 h and stage 7 for 3 h, the controller will switch on
stage 6 first for the next switch-on in order to distribute the operating hours evenly.
NOTE: The distribution of the switching operations in case of stages of the same size is only active in
the control algorithm “BEST-FIT”.
