GUIDED INITIAL COMMISSIONING
“F
IRST
S
ETUP
”
The user-guided initial commissioning facilitates the first commissioning of the power factor controller
BLR-CX plus. The user is guided through various settings, which are essential to operate the BLR-
CX plus correctly.
A “First Setup” step-by-step guide can be found below.
The device can be handled by pushing the four buttons on the front side. Here, the buttons
“
”
and
“
”
are used to
vary parameter settings and pushing the
“
”
button enters the chosen value. Using
the
“
” key
enables the user to leave the respective menus.
The user-guided initial commissioning is displayed by a flashing
SETUP
message on the right side of
the display.
1.
The device hast to be connected to the grid according to the reference guide.
2.
Choose user-guided initial commissioning “First SETUP” -> YES.
3.
Un
: Enter the nominal phase-phase voltage value (ULL) of the 3-phase supply net.
Values between 100 V and 242 kV are accepted.
-> If the input was successful, the entered value is displayed for 1 second without
flashing.
4.
Pt:
Enter the voltage transformer factor (VT factor). Values between 1,0 and 350 are
accepted.
-> If the input was successful, the entered value is displayed for 1 second without
flashing.
5.
U-Con:
Enter the connection type of the voltage measurement: It can be chosen between
Phase-Neutral-Voltage and Phase-Phase-Voltage. If the values of Un and Pt are set
correctly, the power factor controller CX plus is able to recognise the connection type
automatically.
-> If the input was successful, the entered value is displayed for 1 second without
flashing.
6.
ULL:
If the set values of Un, Pt and U-Con are correct as well as the measurement value
of the voltage is in a valid range, the phase-phase voltage value (ULL) appears for
3 seconds on the display.
7.
Ct:
Enter a current transformer factor (CT factor) between 1,0 and 9600.
-> If the input was successful, the entered value is displayed for 1 second without
flashing.
8.
The actual measurement value of the current appears for a time of 3 seconds on the
display. Here, it is crucial that the value is in the range between 5 mA and 5 A.
9.
Ai:
Execution of Automatic Initialisation Ai.
YES: Start of the Automatic Initialisation process.
NO: Automatic Initialisation will not be executed.
10.
P0:
Enter the phase angle P0 in a range between 0° … 345°.
While entering the phase angle, the calculated value of the power factor cos ϕ appears
on the display for checking purposes.
11.
OUT:
Select the stage type: Deactivate stage: “FOFF”, Set stage static on: “FON” or
“AUTO” to activate the respective stages for consideration in the CX plus control
algorithm.
12.
PFC:
Activation of cos ϕ-control: PFC -> YES
The control system starts to operate and the power factor controller CX plus controls
the power factor cos ϕ immediately.
13.
First SETUP ok:
The user-guided initial commissioning of the power factor controller
CX plus is terminated by the message “First SETUP ok”, which is shown on the display.
