3 COMBI FILTER:
A special algorithm for combi filter systems with two
different degrees of choking. The controller works according to the
“
BEST-FIT
” principle. The difference is that the controller always has
switched-on more or the same amount of compensation power at the
odd switching outputs, as it is available at the even outputs. Already
switched on stage powers by FON stages are not considered by the
control.
NOTE
:
The setting “Lock faulty stages” (SETUP/309) is permanently
activated. Stages, which have been recognized as defective, will be
blocked and therefore skipped by the control algorithm. This function
prevents an oscillating behaviour of the reactive power control system.

CAUTION
The Combi Filter algorithm only works with capacitive stages.
If the stage recognition is executed for the first time, more stage
power may be switched on at the even switching outputs than at the
odd ones. Enter the stage sizes manually (SETUP/402) in order to
avoid this.
Attention is required by defining FON stages. By setting FON
stages, more stage power may be switched on at the even
switching outputs than at the odd ones.
NOTE
: The stage exchange function and the switching distribution
(switching cycles or operating hours) are always deactivated in case
of stages of the same size.
NOTE
: It is not possible to switch the stages manually.
4 PROGRESSIVE:
Works like the
“
BEST-FIT
” algorithm, with the
exception that the controller switches on and off several stages one
by one with a shortened switching time, if necessary. The set
switching time is ignored in the process.
The stage sizes must be entered manually, because the stage
recognition
is always deactivated in this algorithm.
The entry should be as precise as possible, because the control will
otherwise tend to oscillate.
NOTE
: The stage exchange function and the stage recognition are
always deactivated. An updating of the stage sizes, an recognition of
defective stages and an recognition of power loss of the individual
stages by the control are not possible.
