5. Programming Reference
When an alarm occurs, the system starts the Alarm Abort
timer. If a user enters their access code to disarm the Parti-
tion in alarm during the Alarm Abort time window then the
system deactivates channel 3 and sends a separate code
abort signal on channel 5. In addition, if communications
have been programmed with a restore code, then the system
transmits a restore signal to the central station.
If Alarm Confirmation has also been programmed and a zone
is triggered during the Alarm Abort time window, then the
system sends the confirmation signal immediately (see
"Alarm Confirmation" above).
The system now needs resetting either by the engineer, or by
the user following the ‘Remote Reset’ procedure.
ALM CONF
If this option is enabled in Menu 67, then a plug on commu-
nicator will report a channel 3 (Burg) for an intruder alarm as
normal. If a subsequent zone is triggered within the same set
period then the communicator will report channel 7 (verified
alarm) in Fast Format. (If a plug-on STU is fitted then it will
report verified alarm on channel 6. If a 9076UK-01/02 Inter-
face Card is fitted the alarm relay triggers.) The central
station operator can now inform the appropriate police
authority that the alarm is confirmed and that this is likely to
be a real break in and not a false alarm. To make sure this
facility works correctly you must use Menu 67 and set
the First Circuit option to "Lockout". This will ensure that
the system does not send a verification when one zone is
activated twice in succession.
Note: This facility complies with the ACPO Police Force Alarm Policy, which is
incorporated in NACOSS NACP14 (Code of Practice).
If you are using a 9056 Plug On Communicator then program
the communicator's NVM with channel 3 (Burg) active, and
channel 7 as alarm confirmation. For further information on
which channel your receiving central station prefers to use for
alarm confirmation contact your central station manager.
If you are using a RedCare STU please refer to the manufac-
turer/supplier of the equipment.
ENTABT
If the user deviates from the entry route, or exceeds the
entry delay, the system activates a full alarm. In addition, the
communicator transmits an intruder alarm signal to the
central station.
