Example 4: Zone Omission
You can program the system to allow users to omit zones during setting.
This facility is designed to allow users to omit zones that need to work
normally for most of the time, but may occasionally need by-passing. For
example, an internal door normally protected by a NA zone may need to be
left open due to repair. The system can be programmed to allow the user to
omit that zone.
To set the system omitting a zone the user must enter the sequence:
[Access code] + [Menu key] + [Level key] + [Enter]
The system will only allow one Level at time to be set with omissions.
To omit a 24 Hour zone the user must enter the sequence:
[Access code] + [Menu key] + 2 + [Enter]
Note that there are two other methods for achieving the same end:
•
Use Menu 44 to program Flexi-Zones so that they are NA or FE or
ER for one Level and NU for another Level.
•
Allocate all zones that are likely to be omitted to one Area. Part
set the system when the user wishes to omit that Area.
To make sure that zone omission works, there are three Menus that you
must use, shown in Figure 24 below.
