Enables or disables the extended error messages that provide more information than

SYSTem:ERRor[:NEXT]?

. The location of errors in the parsed command strings is

also shown.

Parameters:

SYSTem:ERRor[:NEXT]?

Queries the SCPI communication error queue for the oldest entry and removes it from
the queue.

Returns an error number and a short description of the error.

Return values:

<ErrorCode>

Number as defined in the SCPI standard

0

No errors have occurred since the error queue was last read out.

Disables or enables the front panel keyboard of the instrument including the [LOCAL]
key.

Parameters:

SYSTem:LOCK:SHARed:STRing?

Queries the lock string assigned to the locking group if shared locking is enabled.

Writes an error in the error queue if shared locking is not enabled.

Return values:

Usage:

Query only

SYSTem:LOCK:TIMeout

<timeout>

Sets the maximum time in milliseconds to wait when processing a command if the
device is locked and the sender of the command is not the owner of the lock before the
command is discarded and an error is written to the error queue.
