Bump Testing • 94
11 . If at any point during the bump test the gas flow to the GX-6000 becomes too
low, the bump test will be aborted and the screen will indicate a flow failure.
If a flow failure occurs, confirm all tubing connections are correct, that all lines
are clear, and that the gas in/gas out cover is fully locked onto the GX-6000(s).
Press the BUMP End button in the Function Tab to return to the top level
Function Tab screen.
12 . A pre-sample flush will begin. The SDM-6000 will apply fresh air to the
GX-6000 for the time defined by the AIR Flush bump test parameter.
13 . The SDM-6000 will perform a fresh air adjustment on the instrument.
a. If the air adjustment is successful, the SDM-6000 will continue as
described in step 14 below.
b. If one or more of the sensors fails the fresh air adjustment, the SDM-6000
will abort the bump test and will not apply calibration gas. If this happens,
the Unit Tab will indicate which channels passed and failed the fresh air
adjustment. In the following example, the O
2
channel failed the fresh air
adjustment.
In this case, continue to step 19.
