107 • Charging a GX-6000 in a Docking Station

6 . When the charge is complete, the Status LED will turn solid orange.

Batteries Too Drained for Standalone Operation

If the batteries in the GX-6000 do not have enough power to keep the GX-6000 on

during operations with the SDM-6000, the GX-6000 will turn off and the SDM-6000

will go into a 5 minute charge cycle and indicate it is charging the instrument. The

following screen occurs on a single station system. The screens on a multi-station

system will be similar.

The GX-6000 will not connect to the SDM-6000. The instrument cannot be bump

tested, calibrated, or alarm checked in the charge cycle. Once the 5 minute charge

cycle has ended, the GX-6000 will automatically turn back on and connect to the

SDM-6000. The GX-6000 can now be bump tested, calibrated, or alarm checked.
