RN.300 Network Section Details

The Network Section provides the Link Input and Link Out put Ethercon® connectors for the CA T.5
network infrastructure.

The Link Input is marked in grey and the Link Output is marked in yellow on all RN.300 devices.

In  order  to  build  an  audio  net work  the  Link  Output  needs  to  be  connected  to  the  Link  Input  of  the
neighbour device and so forth until the  CA T.5 cable forms  a ring and connects the last Link Output of
a neighbour  device to the Link Input of the start device.

Two Remote Power status LEDs for the Input and Output respectively indicate the availability of Re-
mote Power. The LE Ds are permanently green if the remot e power option is build int o the respective
devic e.

This option is mandat ory for the use of the RN.362. IR Inline Repeater which extends the length of a
CA T.5 link to max. 450m (1,500ft).

The RN.362.IR is a future Media Numerics product which is not described in this manual.
