A macro is a set of tasks grouped together so that you can execute the tasks together with a single
command. This type of capability is supported in the
Linx DVI Switcher
command set and is useful if
you have the need to frequently make the same type of set up changes to the system. This section
deals with using the
Linx DVI Switcher
macro capability.
A
Linx DVI Switcher
macro is a list of commands stored in an ASCII text format. The complete
command set may be used when writing macros. Note that commands can be grouped together for
execution simultaneously or executed sequentially by separating them with a carriage return/line feed.
We will go into details later, but just to take a look at what a macro looks like, here are a couple of
examples of a macro showing the syntax associated with both the simultaneous and sequential
commands.

HDMI output only).
Example
: After issuing the command, a report similar to
the below would be displayed.
Current system temperature is 31.00 Celsius.

New in firmware version 4.1, this command is used to
update boot code prior to performing a firmware update.
This command should also be necessary when a
replacement I/O module is inserted and needs to be
updated to the current system level.
Example:
To update the boot code on the input card in
slot 3, enter the command:

To update the boot code on all input and output
cards, type:
ubt all all
