After each engine run (tank filling), allow for a sufficient cooling phase (approx. 10 minutes).
Attention!
It is always extremely important not to make the mix too thin! Keep in mind that the engine lubrication is effected via the oil contained in the fuel.
Too little fuel in the mix causes engine overheating and piston seizure because of faulty lubrication. During operation, a light white trail of smoke
coming out of the exhaust pipe should always be visible. If not, stop the engine immediately and enrich the mix. Also make sure that sufficient air
circulates around the cylinder head, in order to avoid overheating. The optimal engine operating temperature is approx. 100 – 120°. Check the
temperature with an infrared thermometer.
You know that the engine is run in when it can be cranked up in cold state without spark plug and without noticeable resistance. Now you may
operate the engine with full power.
Restoring factory settings
As basic setting, unscrew the idle mix adjusting screw by 1.25 rotations.
• Insert the screw all the way in until it lays straight.
• Now unscrew the needle again by 1.25 rotations.
The basic setting of the main nozzle needle is 1.75 rotations.
If the screw is screwed in too firmly, the needle as well as the needle seat can be destroyed!
