3.2 General information on the safety of the machine
The AXEO single-disc spreader is designed and manufactured to the state-of-
the-art in technology and the generally accepted rules of engineering. Neverthe-
less, operation and maintenance of the machine may pose a risk to life and limb
of the operator or other persons, as well as causing damage to the machine or
other assets in the surrounding area.
Therefore, operate the spreader only

when it is in a proper and roadworthy condition,

in awareness of safety and dangers.
This means that you must be familiar with the content of this manual, the applica-
ble accident protection regulations and the generally accepted regulations for
safety, occupational health, and road traffic, and apply these rules as required.
3.3 Instructions for the operator
The operator is responsible for ensuring the intended use of the AXEO single-
disc spreader.
3.3.1 Personnel qualifications
Before starting work on or with the single-disc spreader, all persons who are in-
volved in operation, maintenance or repair must have read and understood this
manual, particularly the chapter on safety and warning notices for the corre-
sponding activities.

The machine may only be operated by trained personnel authorised by the
owner.

Personnel being educated/trained/instructed may only work on the machine
under the supervision of an experienced person.

Maintenance and repair work may only be performed by qualified and in-
structed personnel.
3.3.2 Instruction
Sales representatives, factory representatives or employees of our company will
instruct the operator in the use and maintenance of the single-disc spreader.
The owner must ensure that newly recruited operating and maintenance person-
nel are instructed to the same extent and with the same care with regard to the
operation and repair of the machine in compliance with this operating manual.
