Calibration test
For precise control of the spreading quantity we recommend running a new cali-
bration test every time you change spreading material types.
Carry out a calibration test:
Before spreading for the first time.
If the quality of the spreading material changes significantly (e.g. dampness)
If you are using a new spreading material.
The calibration test can be carried out in a stationary position with the PTO run-
ning.

Calculating the nominal spreading quantity
Calculate the nominal spreading quantity before starting the calibration test.
To calculate the nominal spreading quantity per minute you will require:
The ground speed,
the working width,
the desired application rate.
Example
: you would like to determine the nominal spreading quantity. The
ground speed is
3 km/h
, the working width is set to
4 m
and the application rate

If you cannot find the values in the fertiliser chart, you must determine the nominal
spreading quantity using a formula.
