9.7.2 Checking the oil level
The gearbox is maintenance-free and does not need to be lubricated under nor-
mal conditions.
Preconditions:

The single-disc spreader must be horizontal to check the oil and to add oil.

PTO drive and tractor engine are stopped, the ignition key of the tractor is re-
moved.

Checking the oil level:

Remove the oil level screw.

The oil level is satisfactory when the oil is at the bottom edge of the hole
Filling with oil:

Use only SAE 85W-90 gear oil.

Remove the oil level screw.

Fill gear oil into the filler hole until the oil level reaches the bottom edge of the
hole.

Replace the oil level screw.
