f Please visit a qualified specialist workshop in
the event of faults in the cooling system.
We recommend a Porsche partner for this
work as they have trained workshop personnel
and the necessary parts and tools.
Temperature gauge (ignition on)
Pointer to the left – engine cold
f
Avoid high engine speeds and heavy engine
loading.
Pointer in the middle –
normal operating temperature
Pointer may move up to the red area when engine
is heavily loaded and outside temperature is high.
Warning light “A”
The temperature gauge warning light lights up
if the coolant temperature is too high.
Additionally, a warning is displayed on the on-
board computer.
f Switch engine off and let it cool.
f Check radiators and air passages in front end
of vehicle for obstructions.
f
Check coolant level.
Add coolant if necessary.
f Have the fault repaired.
f Please observe the chapter “COOLANT LEVEL”
on page 177.
Note
To prevent excessive temperatures, the cooling
air ducts must not be obstructed by coverings
(e.g. films or “stone guards”).
The temperature gauge warning light flashes if
the coolant level is too low.
Additionally, a warning is displayed on the on-
board computer.

Switch engine off and let it cool.

Add coolant.
f Have the cause for the fault remedied.
f Please observe the chapter “COOLANT LEVEL”
on page 177.
Caution!
Risk of engine damage.
f Do not continue driving if the warning lights
come on or flash even when the coolant level
is correct.

Have the fault repaired.
Engine-compartment blower
The temperature gauge
warning light flashes
if
the engine-compartment blower is not working.
Additionally, a warning is displayed on the on-
board computer.
f Have the cause for the fault remedied.
