4. Test Paper Motor
Menu Option Settings What It Does
Test Shuttle Mot.
Shuttle Test,
Continuous
Test Allows you to perform shuttle motor tests.
Press + (RIGHT) or - (LEFT) to move the
print head holder right or left. Press
Test
Env
. to select “Continuous Test” so the print
head moves back and forth continuously.
Press the any key
to stop the continuous
test.

Test Paper Motor
Allows you to test the feeding mechanisms
of the printer by controlling the transport mo-
tor. The printer feeds and transports paper
through the printer in two ways, in a small
amount (1/150 inch) by pressing (-) or in a
large amount (1 inch) by pressing (+).
Menu Option Settings What It Does
Test Display
Allows you to determine if the LCD display is
functioning properly, is missing characters,
has strange characters or missing segments.
Press
Enter
to automatically enable the
test. The LCD display scrolls the lower case
alphabet and numbers (0-9) across the top
line, while the bottom line scrolls control
characters and the numbers. The test cycles
twice and returns to the Service Menu.
