About DivX
DivX is a com pr essed digital video fo r mat
c r eated by the DivX video codec f r om DivX, Inc.
This p laye r can p lay DivX video files bu r ned on
CD-R/-RW and DVD-R/-RW/-ROM discs.
Kee
p ing the same te r minology as DVD-Video,
individual DivX video files a r e called ‘Titles’.
When naming files/titles on a CD-R/-RW o r
DVD-R/-RW disc pr io r to bu r ning, kee p in mind
that by default they will p lay in al p habetical
o r de r .
DivX video compatibility
• Official DivX Ce r tified pr oduct.
• Plays all ve r sions of DivX video (including
DivX 6) with standa r d p layback of DivX
media files.

• File extensions: .avi and .divx (these must
be used fo r the p laye r to r ecognize DivX
video files).
Note that all files with the .avi
extension are recognized as MPEG4, but not
all of these are necessarily DivX video files
and therefore may not be playable on this
player.
Displaying DivX subtitle files
The font sets listed below a r e available fo r DivX
exte r nal subtitle files. You can see the pr o p e r
font set on-sc r een by setting the Subtitle
Language (in Language settings on p age 54)
to match the subtitle file.
