Switching the iPod controls

You can switch ove r the iPod cont r ols between
the iPod and the unit.
1 Press to switch the iPod controls.

This enables o p e r ation and dis p lay on you r
iPod, and this unit’s r emote cont r ol and OSD
become inactive.
2 Press again to switch back to the
receiver controls.
iPod is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in
the U.S. and other countries.
Using the USB interface
It is p ossible to listen to two-channel audio

and watch JPEG files using the USB inte r face
on the f r ont of this unit. Connect a USB mass
sto r age device

as shown below.
1 With the system switched on, press
USB.
Make su r e you r TV is on and set to the co rr ect
video in p ut.
2 Connect your USB memory device.
Symptom What it means
Error I1 The r e is a pr oblem with the signal p ath
f r om the iPod to the unit. Switch off the
unit and r econnect the iPod to the unit.
If this doesn’t seem to wo r k, t r y r esetting
you r iPod.
Error I2
The softwa r e ve r sion being used with
the iPod needs to be u p dated. U p date
the softwa r e being used with the iPod
( p lease use the latest iPod softwa r e
ve r sions late r than the iPod u p date r
2004-10-20).
Error I3 The iPod that is not su pp o r ted is
connected. Check whethe r the iPod was
su pp o r ted by this unit ( p age 40).
When the iPod softwa r e ve r sion is too
old, u p date the iPod softwa r e to the
latest ve r sion.
Error I4 When the r e is no r es p onse f r om the
iPod, u p date the iPod softwa r e to the
latest ve r sion. If this doesn’t seem to
wo r k, t r y r esetting you r iPod.
iPod Error
The p owe r r equi r ements of the iPod a r e
too high fo r this unit.
No Music
Track
The r e a r e no p layable songs cu rr ently
sto r ed in the iPod. In p ut some music
files com p atible with iPod p layback.
No Track
When the r e a r e no t r acks in the
catego r y selected on the iPod. Select a
diffe r ent catego r y.
Note
1 You cannot use this function, when an iPod of fifth gene r ation o r iPod nano of fi r st gene r ation is connected.
2 When this function is set, iPod images cannot be p layed on this unit.
3 This includes p layback of WMA/MP3/MPEG-4 AAC files (exce p t files with co p y- pr otection o r r est r icted p layback).
