• This p laye r is com p atible with Mac r o-Vision System co p y gua r d. Some discs
include a co p y pr evention signal, and when this ty p e of disc is p layed back, st r i p es
etc., may a pp ea r on some sections of the p ictu r e de p ending on the TV. This is not a
malfunction.
• Discs
r es p ond diffe r ently to p a r ticula r p laye r functions. This may r esult in the
sc r een becoming black fo r a b r ief instant o r shaking slightly when the function is
executed. These pr oblems a r e la r gely due to diffe r ences between discs and disc
content and a r e not malfunctions of this p laye r .

• DVDs and CDs use diffe r ent r eco r ding methods. This is not a malfunction.
CD-ROM disc is not
r ecognized.
• Make su r e that the CD-ROM was r eco r ded using the ISO 9660 disc fo r mat. See

DVD-ROM disc is not
r ecognized.

• The files on the disc must be named with the co rr ect file extension: .m p 3 fo r MP3
files; .wma fo r WMA files; .m4a fo r MPEG-4 AAC files; .j p g fo r JPEG files (u pp e r o r

• The files we r e r eco r ded using DRM (digital r ights management). This is not a
malfunction.
