Basic playback controls
The following table shows the basic cont r ols on
the r emote fo r p laying discs.

Resume and Last Memory

With the exce p tion of DVD-Audio, SACD and
MP3/WMA/MPEG-4 AAC discs, when you sto p
p layback of a DVD, CD, o r Video CD/Su p e r VCD
o r DivX video/WMV discs,
Resume
is shown in
the dis p lay indicating that you can r esume
p layback again f r om that p oint.
If the disc t r ay is not o p ened, the next time you
sta r t p layback the dis p lay shows Resume and
p layback r esumes f r om the r esume p oint. (If
you want to clea r the r esume p oint, pr ess

(sto p ) while Resume is dis p layed.)
With DVDs and Video CD/Su p e r VCDs, if you
take the disc out of the p laye r afte r sto pp ing
p layback, the last p lay p osition is sto r ed in
memo r y. If the next disc you load is the same
one, the dis p lay shows
Last Memory
and
p layback will r esume.

Fo r DVD-Video discs,
the p laye r sto r es the p lay p osition of the last
five discs. When one of these discs is next
loaded, you can
r esume p layback.

1 You may find with some DVD discs that some p layback cont r ols don’t wo r k in ce r tain p a r ts of the disc.
