LFE Attenuate
Some Dolby Digital and DTS audio sou r ces
include ult r a-low bass tones.
Set the LFE attenuato r as necessa r y to pr event
the ult r a-low bass tones f r om disto r ting the
sound f r om the s p eake r s.
1 Open the ‘Sound Setup’
menu.
2 Select ‘LFE ATT’, then press
ENTER.
3 Select a setting.
Select one of the following:
• 0dB – The LFE is not limited, which is the
r ecommended value.
• -10dB – The LFE is limited by the r es p ective
deg r ee.
•
LFE Off
– No sound is out p ut f r om the LFE
channel.
4 Press to exit.
DTS CD setting
If you p lay a DTS-encoded CD, you will need to
change this setting to hea r the decoded signal.
1 Open the ‘Sound Setup’
menu.
2 Select ‘CD Type’, then press
ENTER.
3 Select a setting.
Select one of the following:
•
Normal CD
– Use fo r p layback of r egula r
audio CDs. Some DTS-encoded CDs will
out
p ut noise when p layed.
•
DTS-CD
– Use fo r p layback of DTS-
encoded CDs, but note that the beginning
of
r egula r CD t r acks may be ski pp ed.
4 Press to exit.
Dual mono setting
S p ecifies how dual mono encoded Dolby
Digital soundt r acks should be p layed. This
setting can also be used to change the audio
channels fo
r DVD-RW discs r eco r ded in
bilingual audio, and exte r nal in p uts with
bilingual audio (HDMI and o p tical/coaxial
digital in p uts).
1 Press repeatedly to select a setting.
Select one of the following:

CH1 Mono
– Only channel 1 is p layed
• CH2 Mono – Only channel 2 is p layed
•
CH1/CH2
– Both channels a r e p layed
