To give you some cont r ol ove r what you r
child r en watch on you r DVD p laye r , some DVD-
Video discs featu r e a Pa r ental Lock level. If you r
p laye r is set to a lowe r level than the disc, the
disc won’t p lay.
Some discs also su pp o r t the Count r y/A r ea
Code featu r e. The p laye r does not p lay ce r tain
scenes on these discs, de p ending on the
Count r y/A r ea Code you set.
Registering a new password
Registe r a p asswo r d to change the Pa r ental
Lock level o r ente r a Count r y/A r ea code.

1 Select ‘Password’ then press
ENTER.
Setting Option What it means
OSD Language English On-sc r een dis p lays of the p laye r a r e in English.
Languages as displayed
On-sc r een dis p lays a r e shown in the language selected.
Angle Indicator On A came r a icon is dis p layed on-sc r een du r ing multi-angle
scenes on a DVD disc.
Off No multi-angle indication is shown.

DVD Playback DVD-Audio
All mate r ial on a DVD-Audio disc is p layable.
DVD-Video
Only the DVD-Video p a r t of a DVD-Audio disc is p layable.
SACD Playback 2ch Area
Selects the 2 channel (ste r eo) SACD audio a r ea of the disc
fo r p layback.
Multich Area Selects the multichannel SACD audio a r ea of the disc fo r
p layback.
CD Area
Selects the standa r d CD audio a r ea of an SACD/CD hyb r id
disc fo r p layback.
