Using playlists
With this featu r e, you can make u p to th r ee
p laylists of 30 files each fo r discs containing
WMA, MP3, MPEG-4 AAC and JPEG files.
Since this unit will
r emembe r all p laylists fo r
the last ten discs you have loaded, this is useful
if you have a la
r ge numbe r of files that you want
to o r ganize quickly and easily.

Programming playlists
1 With the disc stopped,
select ‘Disc Navigator’ from the on-screen
menu.
2 Select the file you want to add to the
playlist.

Browsing Windows Media™ Audio (WMA),
MP3, MPEG-4 AAC, DivX video/WMV and JPEG
files with the Disc Navigator
above if you don’t
know how to do this.
3 Press PLAYLIST 1, 2 or 3.
The file is added to the p laylist you select.
4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you’re done.
Tip
• To add files without the on-sc r een dis p lay,
sim p ly pr ess PLAYLIST 1 , 2 o r 3 du r ing
no r mal p layback of the file you want
(exce p t when a JPEG slideshow is p laying
at the same time as audio).
Listening to playlists
• With playback stopped, press PLAYLIST
1, 2 or 3.
Du r ing p layback, PGM lights in the f r ont p anel
dis p lay. If no p laylist has been pr og r ammed,
No PLAYLIST
shows in the dis p lay.
• If the p laylist contains both JPEG and
audio files, p layback of the slideshow and
audio files sta r ts.
Clearing files from a playlist
1 Start playback of your playlist.
2 From the ‘Disc Navigator’ screen,
highlight the file you want to remove from
the playlist and press CLEAR.
Looping a section of a disc
The A-B Re p eat function allows you to s p ecify
two p oints (A and B) within a t r ack (CD, Video
CD/Su p e r VCD) o r title (DVD-Video and DVD-
RW) that fo r m a loo p which is p layed ove r and
ove r .
• You can’t use A-B Re p eat with DVD-Audio,
SACD, Video CD/Su p e r VCDs in PBC
mode, o r WMA/MP3/MPEG-4 AAC/DivX
video/WMV files.
1 During playback, select
‘Play Mode’.
Note
1 The disc must be loaded fo r the files in you r p laylist to p lay back.
