The
REMOTE CHANNEL LOOPBACK
command sets or clears, on a selected
remote channel, the inward and outward looping of the receive and transmit
data streams at the serial interface (Figure 2-10). This command acts as a toggle
switch. The second time it is selected the remote channel loopback is cleared.
A
CHANNEL RESET
, System Reset, or power failure on the remote multiplexer
will also clear a remote channel loopback. To determine the loopback status use
the
CHANNEL STATUS
command.

The multiplexer sets or clears the remote channel loopback on the designated

time the loopback occurred, is stored in the

displayed when the mode is entered.
