It is possible to specify, for any

SDLC/HDLC

channel, that EIA signals present on

the channel be propagated, or not propagated, across the link as described in the

EIA Signals section. It is not possible to individually select EIA signals.

The EIA leads can also be forced high or low (on or off). This could be used, for

example, to hold DSR high. An explanation of this may be found in the

CHAN-
