2. IIT

ADJ2. 1. 1 Position Adjustment of Full/Half Rate Carriage

Reference PL: PL16. 6

Purpose

Position the Full/Half Rate Carriage correctly.

Adjustment

Procedure

1.

Open the DADF or the Platen Cover.

2.

Remove the Platen Glass. (REP14. 3. 1)

3.

Prepare the Positioning Tools (2). (Fig. 1)

(1) Remove the Screw.

(2) Remove the Tool.

(3) Remove the Screw.

(4) Remove the Tool.

4.

Align the Half Rate Carriage tool hole with the Rail tool hole (at front and rear). (Fig. 2)

5.

Install the tool on the Half Rate Carriage (at front and rear). (Fig. 3)

(1) Install the tool (at front and rear).

(2) Secure the tool with the screw.

(Fig. 3) j0mf41826

(1) Loosen the Set Screw (2) and turn the pulley to align the tool holes with each other.

After checking that the [Communication Lamp] is turned Off and that there are no
[Jobs in Progress] and [Printer Jobs in Queue (except the printer jobs during HDD
spooling)] on the [In Progress/Queue] screen, turn Off the Power Switch and
disconnect the Power Cord.

Adjust the position of Full/Half Rate Carriage on the front and on the rear separately.
