27 Troubleshooting
Cause:
The communication settings are incorrect.
Remedy:
• Align the communication settings with the external device.
• If you have changed any of the communication settings (Ethernet,
EtherNet/IP, PROFINET or RS232C) in the “System settings”, restart
the laser marking system.
• For DHCP of EtherNet/IP connections, check the connection status of
your DHCP server.
• For RS232C connections, disable flow control on the external device.
Cause:
The communication settings were overwritten by a backup file.
Remedy:
Check the communication settings. For Ethernet and EtherNet/IP
connections, check the IP address and other Ethernet settings. When
you restore a backup file, the communication settings are overwritten by
the backup data.
Cause:
Surrounding equipment produces noise.
Remedy:
• Securely ground the frame ground (FG) of the laser marking system
or the surrounding equipment.
• Insulate the power and signal lines from each other if they have been
routed in parallel.
• Shield the signal line.
• Insulate the power supply of the laser marking system from other
equipment.
• Use a noise cut-off transformer to absorb noises from the power
supply.
