included in the IPSet tool. When CM1600 is running in IEEE1588-2002 mode, IEEE1588-
2008 management is still used. PTPBrowser is started from the same welcoming screen as
IPSet:
The different network interfaces on your computer will be listed in the Interface IP address
choicebox. After the interface is chosen you may start PTPBrowser.
After startup PTPBrowser will query for a number of datasets via multicast PTP management
messages and listen for incoming IEEE1588-2008 messages. At the present time only
IEEE1588-2008 messages are decoded and displayed. PTP management is also performed
via IEEE1588-2008 messages and not IEEE1588-2002 messages. Even though the CM1600
may run in IEE1588-2002 mode, it uses IEEE1588-2008 management messages.
