1.2.8.2.3 Serial
Section Description
Serial Settings for the serial ports of CM-1600. They may be used
as console ports, external GPS interface or GPS emulation.
RS232 Serial port 1 Console – Console port for the CM-1600 PTP CPU
External GPS – Connect to an external GPS via serial port
Emulate GPS – Emulate a GPS device by sending a GPS
telegram out on the serial port.
- Protocol If Emulate GPS is chosen, you may set the protocol to
emulate here.
- Baud rate The speed of the serial port.
- Delay after PPS
[ms] When Emulate GPS is selected, you may select the delay to
wait after the PPS signal before transmitting the serial
telegram out on the serial port. Tuning might be required
depending on the equipment receiving the telegram. This
option is available for the end equipment to easier map the
serial telegram with the correct PPS pulse.
