1.5.2 Ordinary clock summary
The ordinary clocks pane shows a subset of some of the PTP datasets. This is provided to
get a quick overview of the most important parameters without the need to inspect every
dataset thoroughly.
Enabling the Status color will set colors to the devices in the Ordinary Clocks pane according
to their state and accuracy.
GREEN – Slave device within the Min/Max offset in [ns].
RED – Slave device outside the Min/Max offset in [ns].
BLUE – Maste device
GRAY – Device not in MASTER or SLAVE state.
1.5.3 Logging
Every data set may be stored to file by checking the corresponding checkbox in the Settings
pane. Logging provides the possibility of storing a synchronization session and perform
analysis of this session later. The Status report is particularly useful since the timestamps of
every slave clock is sent from the slave to the management tool. Note that enabling this
option may cause considerable load on the PTP CPU and the computer running
IPSet/PTPv2Browser.
