Slide the front cover to the left until it engages in the holder on
the left side of the housing. Retighten the two screws on the
right side of the front cover.

Connecting the battery modules

XANTO S 6000

1. Remove the cable ejection on the lower side of the front cover

of the UPS system.

NOTE

Proceed carefully so that you do not damage the LCD display
and control panel and the connected ribbon cable.

2. For the lower (or only) battery module, remove the cable ejec-

tion on the upper side of the front cover only.

3. If you are installing more than one battery module, both cable

ejections must be removed for every battery module.

CAUTION

A small spark can occur when the battery module is con-
nected to the UPS system. This is normal and does not pose
a hazard to people. Quickly and firmly insert the cable of the
battery module into the battery plug connection of the UPS
system.

4. Stick the cable of the battery module into the battery connec-

tion of the UPS system as shown in Figure 10). Up to four bat-
teries can be connected to the UPS system.
