2. When the desired speed is determined, lock the
“Convey-
or Belt Speed Control Lever”
B
in place by tightening
the
Belt Speed Control Lever Knob”
C
. This assures
the conveyor belt speed will not change adjustment from
accidental movement or vibration.

3. The
“Conveyor Belt Speed Control”
has (“10” Ten) speed
settings, where “10” is the maximum speed at which the
conveyor belt can travel, (“1” One) is the Minimum, and
(“0” Zero) is OFF.

Conveyor Belt Speed
The best results are obtained when the drive is set to
provide a belt speed of 600 - 650 ft./min.
Count the number of belt revolutions per minute to
determine belt speed:
Use the connector splice as a
reference when counting belt revolutions.
Find your Belt Length:
Use the specifications section
to find your belt length.
Example:
The Kwik-Pit model 26 Series has a belt length of
52’-9” ft. After running the Kwik-Pit for 1 Minute, the count is
12 complete revolutions.

Contact your dealer or the factory for the appropriate drive
components to give the recommended belt speed.
IMPORTANT
Do not run the machine for long periods of time with no
material on the belting. This increases the wear. Try to run
only when moving material.
