5 - MAINTENANCE
5-15
First 10 Hours Of Operation
Check Tightness Of All Bolts, & Cap Screws
Your equipment can operate at top efficiency, but only if the
fasteners are checked at a regular interval.
Each bolt has a torque specification or value that ensures
failures are eliminated and that the safety, reliability, and
quality of your machine aren’t compromised. Once your
machine has had the fasteners torqued at the specified
torque, the torque value on the bolt must be checked for any
changes in torque.
A bolt that isn’t correctly fastened according to the torque value
recommended by the manufacturer, can lead to the following:
• Loosening and coming off due to continuous vibration.
• Stripping of the thread on the fastener.
WARNING
•
Hydraulic Drive Option:
Engage park brake, place
transmission in PARK, shut off engine, remove key,
and wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving
the tractor cab.
•
Electric Drive Option:
Turn machine OFF, shut down
and lock out power source, unplug power cord and
wait for all moving parts to stop before inspecting,
servicing or repairing machine.
• Keep body, hair, and clothing away from moving con
-
veyor belt and rollers.
• Do not operate with any guards removed or modified.
Keep guards in good working order. Failure to comply
could result in death or serious injury.
1. If the machine is in the raised position, Install transport
locks on left and right side of the lift axles to avoid cyl
-
inders settling during servicing.

2. Check tightness of all bolts, & cap screws (re-torque if
necessary).

Keep guards in good working order. Failure to comply
could result in death or serious injury.
Check the following during a visual inspection:
1. Ensure all guards are in place and in good working order.
2. Examine the belt conveyor for damage or unusual wear.
3. Check tightness of bolts/nuts, fasteners, and hardware
(re-torque if necessary).
4. Be sure all safety decals are in place and are legible.
5. Check that the discharge spout and intake hopper area
are free of obstructions.
6. Inspect all moving or rotating parts to see if anything
has become entangled in them. Remove any entangled
material.
7. Inspect hydraulic hoses and fittings for leaks and wear.
Fix or replace where necessary.
8. Examine tires for gashes, uneven wear, or loss of air
pressure. Maintain pressure according to tire sidewall
recommendations.
9. Check all operating, lifting, and transport components.
Replace damaged or worn parts before using the con
