Daily
Check For Hydraulic Leaks

Although a leak may seem minor, it can lead to excessive

maintenance and operational costs, poor performance, a lack

of reliability, and accelerated component wear. Tracking down

the source of a leak (whether it is internal or external) can be

difficult, but doing so will save unnecessary expenses later on.
1. If the machine is in the raised position, Install transport

locks on left and right side of the lift axles to avoid cyl

inders settling during servicing.

(See"Transport Locks:

Locking & Stowing" on page 4-12)

WARNING

Hydraulic oil leaking under pressure can penetrate the skin,

causing death or serious injury, or infection.

DO NOT

use your hand to check for leaks. Use a piece of

cardboard or plywood.

WARNING

•

Hydraulic Drive Option:

Engage park brake, place

transmission in PARK, shut off engine, remove key,

and wait for all moving parts to stop before leaving

the tractor cab.

•

Electric Drive Option:

Turn machine OFF, shut down

and lock out power source, unplug power cord and

wait for all moving parts to stop before inspecting,

servicing or repairing machine.

• Keep body, hair, and clothing away from moving con

veyor belt and rollers.

• Do not operate with any guards removed or modified.

Keep guards in good working order. Failure to comply

could result in death or serious injury.

2. Check all
