snmp show engineid
Use the
snmp show engineid
command to return the SNMP Engine ID. The Engine ID is only used by SNMPv3 entities
to uniquely identify them. This device’s Engine ID is fixed (users cannot change the Engine ID), and is comprised of the
enterprise number and the default MAC address.
Syntax
snmp engineid show
Parameters
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Example
Show the Engine ID:
CONTROLLER>
snmp show engineid
Engine ID : 0x80007b9d03001dff00eef4
snmp apply
Use the
snmp apply
command to apply SNMP changes and save to NVR. This command is needed for SNMP changes to
take effect.
Syntax
snmp apply
Parameters
This command has no arguments or keywords.
Example
Apply changes to SNMP:
CONTROLLER>
snmp apply
snmp show notify
Use the
snmp show notify
command to show the on or off state of SNMP notifications.
An SNMP notification is a message sent from the device to the SNMP management station indicating that a certain event
has occurred, such as a link up/down. This device supports three notifications types: SNMP, system, and health.
