To remove the motherboard lithium battery, complete the following steps.

Step

Action

Open the PCB carrier.

Follow the procedure in “

Opening the PCB carrier

” on page 86.

Caution

Be sure to wear the antistatic wrist strap and attach the grounding
leash to the chassis frame.

Lift up the battery toward the open side of the battery holder, as
shown.
