When Failure Occurs

Memory dump (debug information) cannot be collected when a failure occurs:
Do you press the DUMP switch correctly?

Hold down the DUMP switch for 4 to 8 seconds if you would like to collect memory dump by
pressing the switch. If you press DUMP switch shorter than 4 seconds or longer than 8 seconds,
you will not be able to collect memory dump.
Check if you are not using a physical processor of CPU #0 for the virtual machine.

If a physical processor of CPU #0 is allowed to be used for the virtual machine, memory dump
may not be collected even when pressing the DUMP switch. To operate the machine assuming to
collect memory dump, set the value other than "0" for the property of "Scheduling Affinity" of the
virtual machine.
* Setting procedure for "Scheduling Affinity"
Select the target virtual machine from vSphere Client and select "Edit" from CPUinformation on
the "Resource Allocation" page. On the displayed property screen, select "Advanced CPU" on the
"Resource" page to change "Scheduling Affinity".
