Bundled Software for the Server 

 

This section introduces the software bundled with the server and briefly describes how to install 
the software. Refer to the online document for details. 

 

NEC ESMPRO Agent (for Windows) 

 

NEC ESMPRO Agent (for Windows) is the application for monitoring server which is to be 
installed in the server. 

 
 
 
 
 
 

Preparation before Installation 

 

To operate NEC ESMPRO Agent, the driver for NEC specific device needs to be installed and 
TCP/IP of the target OS and TCP/IP related components need to be set. 
 
To use Windows Server 2008, install the IPMI driver by following the Microsoft® Windows Server 
2008 Enterprise/Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Installation Guide. 
 
To use Windows Server 2008 R2, install the IPMI driver by following the Microsoft® Windows 
Server 2008 R2 Enterprise/Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter Installation Guide. 

 

Network Service Setting 

 

Use TCP/IP for protocol. Refer to 

“Help”

 which can be started from the start menu for TCP/IP 

setting. 

 

SNMP Service Setting 

 

Set 

“public”

 or an arbitrary name for community name of trap, and set the IP address of the 

management PC, etc. in which NEC ESMPRO Manager is installed as the destination for 
sending traps to.
