Using Management PC with CD Drive

Various types of software cannot be installed without a machine equipped with DVD drive since
NEC EXPRESSBUILDER is provided as DVD. To install the software in client machine equipped
with CD drive, copy it to CD-R, etc. first by following the procedures below.

1. Set NEC EXPRESSBUILDER to any machine which can read DVD, such as the server.

2. Terminate the Autorun menu when it is started.

3. Copy the following files/folders stored in “NEC EXPRESSBUILDER” DVD to hard disk from

Explorer.

¦
+---- All from ¥win and below

4. Copy the files and folders copied in the step 3 to CD-R in the folder structure as it is. Ensure

that root folders match when copying.

5. When copying to CD-R is completed, delete all the files and folders copied in the step 3 from

the hard disk.

6. Set the CD-R created in the step 4 to a client machine equipped with CD drive.

7. Execute the following file in the CD from Explorer.

When using Windows Server 2008 Server

¥MC8_64¥MC.exe

When using Windows Server 2008 R2 Server

¥MC8R2¥MC.exe

IMPORTANT:
Only one copy of a CD can be created for the limited purpose of
installing the software in the client machine by using this procedure.
