Basic

Resetting the settings

• Automatic reset

When no operations are performed for a set period of time after copying, the

machine will return to the default setting status.

The screen is preset at three minutes at the time of shipment. You can change

the reset time. You can also reset the screen immediately after scanning a

document (page 8-35).

• Resetting the settings by <Reset>

Press <Reset> to return to the default settings. After copying, press <Reset>

to reset the settings for the next user.

Memory overflow during copying

If the memory is exceeded while the documents are being stored, take the

following steps.

If the memory is exceeded while the first page of the documents are

being scanned

If the memory is exceeded too often, wait until the memory is available, or

press [Doc.Type] to change the copy image quality before copying again.

documents are being scanned

Yes

Press [Yes] to copy the stored pages.
Press [No] to cancel the copy. Change the document type or wait until

the memory is available before copying again.

If you do not press any key for three minutes (time you set in copy

screen automatic reset: page 8-34), the stored pages are copied.

NOTE

The following display is shown when you use the ADF and the documents still remain
on the scanner.
