Functions

Reception

When the other party makes a call

The machine rings.

When the telephone is connected to this machine, the connected

telephone also rings.

The machine rings again. (for approx. 30 seconds)

The continuous ringing means the other party is making a call.

Talk to the other party.

When the other party is manually transmitting, there may be no

sound when you pick up the handset, so confirm on the phone that no

one is on the line before pressing <Start>.

When you hear the beep from the handset, the other party is

transmitting faxes. Press <Start> immediately.

NOTE

• To make the machine ring, you need to set the fax ringer (page 8-36).
• You can change the number of ringer from 0 to 10 times (page 8-17).


