The Rovi-Upfront MPPS is equipped with two anti-tip limit/lockout switches. These mechanical limit switches
are designed to function as a safety feature to ensure the front anti-tipper mechanism is properly engaged/dur-
ing the anterior-tilt function and/or the elevate/reach function. If the anit-tipper mechanism fails to engage,
the power positioning function will be ‘locked-out’. These limit switches will prevent the activated seat function
from proceeding any further.
(
Note
: once the limit switches are engaged, the seating system will only be per-
mitted to return to the established home position).
The Tipsy Angle Sensor is a programmable limit switch that utilizes a separate angle sensor mounted to
the seating system (refer to images that follow). The
M11 Tipsy
angle sensor is utilized with the M-Series
seat control and may be programmed (by a Qualified Technician) via the M270 Remote Attendant Control.
The tipsy angle sensors allows for the individual programming of up to 4 limits:
Home Position, Reduced
Drive Speed, DLO Limit
and the
Max Tilt (Tilt/Recline) Limit.
