DANGER! Risk of Death, Serious Personal Injury or Property Damage.
•
Adjustments to the Front Anti-Tipper Lockout must only be performed by a Qualified Service Technician.
•
DO NOT attempt to adjust the Anti-Tipper Lockout assembly. (The lockout mechanism ensures the
wheelchair base remains stable when the seating system is in the Reach position or Anterior-Tilt position).
•
If you have any concerns with the stability of your seating system/wheelchair during the Reach function
or the Anterior Tilt function, contact your local Service Provider as soon as possible, and avoid using
the Reach/Anterior Tilt functions until the issue has been resolved..

FRONT ANTI-TIPPER LOCKOUT
The Anti-Tipper Lockout has been preadjusted according to the final set-up of the seating system (based on
the end user). The lockout mechanism is designed to lockout the front caster suspension on the Rovi wheelchair
base when the seating system transitions into the Elevate/Reach position (
Fig. 1A
) and/or Anterior-Tilt position
(
Fig. 1B
). As the seating systems approaches the Reach or Anterior-Tilt position, the (left & right)
link block
arms
align with their corresponding
front caster posts
and lockout the front caster suspension (see
Fig 1C.
).
NOTE:
The front anti-tipper lockout assembly utilizes two (2) separate limit switches (left & right), that
function as a safety feature to ensure both front anti-tippers properly locked out. If one, or both of the front
anti-tippers fails to engage during the Reach and/or Anterior-Tilt function, the power positioning function will
go into ‘lockout’, and will not be permitted to continue forward. (In this situation the reach and/or anterior-
tilt function can be returned to the home position if it becomes locked out)
