Cleaning and Care of the Vehicle
In operation your vehicle is subjected
to m any external effects w hich are
harm ful to body and underside.
Besides the often ra ther inclem ent
and alternating w eather conditions,
this includes air pollution, thawing
salts, tar, flying gravel and stones. In
o rd e r to avoid dam age to the
paintw ork, rem ove fuels, coolants,
lubricants, brake fluid, bird
drop p in g s, wood resin and the like as
soon as possible.
P articularly unfavorable conditions,
as fo r exam ple in the vicin ity of the
ocean, in industrial areas (sm oke,
exhaust em issions), and in winter,
may re q u ire sp e cific preventive
measures.
Have the vehicle reg u la rly exam ined
fo r dam age caused by throw n up
gravel or o ther defects. Any dam age
should be repaired as soon as
possible, p a rticu la rly before the onset
of the winter.
Your vehicle has received a rust-
p roofing tre a tm e n t in p roduction.
In o rd e r to m aintain the rust
p ro te ctio n , we recom m end repeating
tre a tm e n t w ithin one year of
operation. Any MERCEDES-BENZ
service station has the inform ation
available and can assist you.
