Changing Wheels
1. Depress parking brake pedal.
2. Move selector lever to position “ P” .
3. Safeguard vehicle against rolling
o ff by using chocks or sim ilar.
Place chocks und e r both opposite
wheels (on dow nhill side), on a
level road on both sides of the
o pposite fro n tw h e e l when ch a n g ­
ing a rear wheel.
4. Using the c o m b in a tio n wrench,
loosen but do not yet rem ove the
wheel bolts.
5. Clean jack s u p p o rtin g tube, if
necessary. Jack tubes are behind
the fro n t wheel housings and in
fro n t of the rear wheel housing.
6. Insert ja ck arm into the tube hole
u p to the stop. P osition the ja ck so
that it will always be vertical as
seen fro m the side, even on
inclines. Jack up the vehicle until
the wheel is clear o ff the ground.
7. Then back o u t the wheel bolts.
Protect bolt threads fro m d irt and
sand. Remove the wheel.
8. A d ju s t the ja ck to allow the wheel
to be slip p e d on w ith o u t being
lifted.
9. S lip on wheel and press against
wheel m ounting flange. Turn in
wheel bolts.
