5 “ BI-LEVEL” button:
For fo g g e d -u p w indows.
During heating and cooling
operations air is channelled to the
w indshield and to the footw eil.
During the cooling o peration air
also enters via the center
outlets 8.
The vehicle in te rio r is cooled
practically free of d ra ft with m ore
air being blown into the footw eil.
The blow er then operates at a
higher speed than “ A U T O -LO ” .
We recom m end this position at low
am b ie n t tem peratures.
6 “ DEF” button:
For ice d -u p w indow s.
In d ependent of the position of the
te m p e ra tu re se le cto r wheel air
heated to m axim um te m p e ra tu re
is channelled to the w indshield.
For the side w indow s, open
outlets 9.
7 R e frigerant c o m p re s s o r switch:
S w itching the air co n d ition in g
c o m p re s s o r on and off.
The c o m p re s s o r can be switched
o ff c o m p le te ly in the positions
“ A U T O -LO " and “ A U T O -H I” , e. g.
if no cooling is re q u ire d because of
low a m b ie n t te m p e ra tu re s (fuel
econom y).
Important!
In o rd e r to keep the air co n ditioning
section of the clim a te control system
in good w o rkin g co n d itio n at all times,
it is necessary to operate the A /C
co m p re s s o r b rie fly at least once a
m onth even d u rin g the seasons it is
n o rm a lly not requ ire d . Switch
co m p re sso r switch to “ ON” and
depress “ A U T O -LO ” o r “ A U TO -H I”
button. M ake sure th a t the am bient
te m p e ra tu re is above 36° F (2° C)
since the A /C co m p re sso r w ill not
operate below this te m perature.
