Turn knob (1) clockw ise to switch
radio on and to increase volum e.
Green control light on the dial will
lig h t up.
Tone
Turn lever (2) clockw ise to increase
tre b le range and co u n te rclo ckw ise to
increase bass range.
Front-Rear Speaker Balance
T h is c o n tro l is installed w henever the
vehicle is e q uipped with rear
speakers. Turn rearw ard to increase
volum e of rear speakers and forw ard
to increase volum e of fro n t speakers.
Radio
S tation Tuning
First, select desired band by pressing
one of the AM or FM station buttons
(3), the tune m anually by turning
co n tro l kn o b (4). F o rg o o d reception,
accurate m anual tuning is im portant.
To preset stations on pushbutton
tuning radios in e ither the AM or FM
band, pull station b u ttons (3),
carefully tune in the desired station,
push button slowly and firm ly all the
way in, then release.
A u to m a tic station tuning (on signal
seeking radios only) is a ccom plished
by m o m e n ta rily depressing the
“ A u to m a tic T u n in g ” bar (6). The tuner
moves fro m the left tow ards the right
side of the dial and stops w henever a
useable station is found.
O perating the a u tom atic tuning bar
again causes the tu n e r to resum e its
search fu n ctio n . W hen the end of the
band is reached, the tu n e r will
a u to m a tica lly return to the beginning
of th e band and start the search
o peration again.
The position of the search sensitivity
switch (5) de te rm in es w hether the
tuner will stop at many or the most
pow erful stations only.

“ c o u n try ” useable station
Position II S elector stops only at
“ s u b u rb ” m ore pow erful stations
Position III S elector stops only at
“ c ity ” the strongest stations
